Community Center
 |
The city had never owned a fire department building until this structure was built. In 1905, the City Council approved the issuance of bonds to purchase the land and construct a new Central Fire Station. The original structure included a three-story hose drying and watch tower that stood above the northeast corner. Upon completion of the current Public Safety building in the 1970s, the old station underwent an adaptive re-use as a community center. |

The building now houses offices for the city Handivan transportation service. |
