Q. What is the project completion timeline?
A. It is difficult to say what the projected time-line would be for the completion of the study. Much will depend on the consultant's approach and other commitments they have. The “Work Plan” shows a list of activities that would need to be conducted, and a “proposed” time-line.
Q. Has a budget been established?
A. Funding for the study will be provided by Federal and State sources. A budget will be determined after receipt of proposals.
Q. Is there a list of consultants who have been contacted or have expressed an interest in this project?
A. There have been many inquiries, but a list will not be available.
Q. Has a past consultant been asked to pursue this opportunity as well?
A. No, there are no past consultants the City has worked with for this particular study.
Q. Who has done this type of work recently in your area?
A. No one that we are aware of.
Q. Do you plan to short list and interview? If so, when?
A. Yes, see “Work Plan” for time-line.
Q. Who is on the selection committee?
A. See “Selection Committee”.
Q. Will you provide evaluation credit for assembling a team with small or disadvantaged business firms?
A. No, but there is a selection criteria form that will be used. See “Selection Criteria.”
Q. If a multi-disciplinary team is required. Do you have a preference regarding which discipline should lead the team’s efforts?
A. The consultant who can best satisfy the specific deliverables of the RFP should lead the team’s effort.
Q. Are there any previous economic studies that have been performed for Galesburg?
A. No, there has not been specific studies performed for the City of Galesburg.
