Board of Review Assessment Procedures and Dates

2011 is a quadrennial reassessment year. The assessor viewed properties in the City of Galesburg and assessed values were adjusted. All property owners will receive an assessment notice from the Knox County Chief County Assessment Office in 2011 which will show the change made to the assessed value.

The 2011 assessment changes were published November 9, 2011 in The Register-Mail. If you do not agree that your assessment is correct, you must file a complaint with the Knox County Board of Review. ALL complaints must be filed in one of the assessment offices (NOT POSTMARKED) no later than 4:00 p.m. on December 16, 2011.
