Fire and Police Commission

Meets – 3rd Tuesday, 10:00 AM – Bi-Monthly, Lower Level, Public Safety Building

The Board of the Fire and Police Commissioners consists of three members appointed by the Mayor. The term of office shall be 3 years and until their respective successors are appointed and have qualified.

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall appoint all officers and members of the fire and police departments of the municipality. The Commission conducts examinations for original appointments, promotions, and hearings on charges brought against a member of the Police or Fire departments.
