TO REGISTER: Stop by the Lakeside Recreation Facility, 1033 S. Lake Storey Road OR complete the mail-in registration form and send it with payment to City of Galesburg, Recreation Division, P.O. Box 1387, Galesburg, IL 61402-1387.
Learn to Swim Registration MUST be done on the individual sign up days at Hawthorne Municipal Pool. No advance registration is taken for this program.
When we receive your registration, we will add you to the program and mail a receipt to you. If a program is already full, we will add your name to a waiting list and contact you with an explanation.
Payment must be paid before the first day of class or by the pre-registration
date. Please make checks payable to: City of Galesburg.
TENNIS REGISTRATION
Tennis Registration can now be taken or sent to the City Galesburg, Recreation
Division. 1033 S. Lake Storey Rd., P.O. Box 1387, Galesburg, IL 61402-1387.
Payable to City of Galesburg.
GIFT CERTIFICATES:
Gift certificates are available for all of your favorite Recreation programs
at the Lakeside Recreation Facility. "Take Time for Fun" and
give the gift of Recreation. These make great Birthday gifts!
PHOTO POLICY:
Photos are periodically taken of participants in programs or at facilities.
Please be aware that photos may be used in the Recreation Brochure, website,
pamphlets, flyers or other media and publications.
CLASS CANCELLATION:
Nothing kills a program faster than waiting until the last minute to register.
At some point we have to determine if our enrollment is sufficient to hold
class.
If a cancellation occurs, you will be notified and your payment will be
refunded in full. If you choose to withdraw from a program you must request
your cancellation in writing at least 48 hours in advance of the first meeting
to receive a refund. Trip refunds will only be made according to the bus
deadline and participant replacement.
If you were planning on signing up and we didn't know that, we may cancel
due to lack of interest and you will be out of luck! PLEASE REGISTER AT
THE APPROPRIATE TIME. It will be well worth it.
VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT
Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable job experience, personal satisfaction,
and have fun while meeting new people. There are a variety of opportunities.
The City of Galesburg Recreation Division will work with you and/or your
group to develop an opportunity for volunteer involvement. After choosing
a project, the Superintendent of Recreation and the Recreation Supervisors
will meet with you to help with introductions, directions and to answer
questions.
