The Galesburg Nature Center opened in April 2013.  The City has many partners in making Galesburg's only Nature Center come together.  In 2011, several Knox College students helped to design a logo and a new roof was installed.  Other upgrades such as the installation of electricity, a painted exterior and new windows and doors.  In 2012, a habitat garden was started.  Special thanks to Brian Davidson and Unique Landscaping, grants from the Galesburg Community Foundation and Ronald McDonald's House Charities made this possible.  The grants also provided initial supplies for the Nature Center.  The City is working on upgrading the Nature Center.
