During the winter months the accumulation of yard waste slows down and as such programs for disposing of leaves, grass, brush and limbs are reduced in Galesburg.

 

Residents may place yard waste at the curb weekly through the month of November. During the months of December through February, yard waste is collected monthly. February's monthly yard waste will be collected on a residents regular solid waste pick up day during the week of February 4-8.  Yard waste placed at the curb for disposal should be in a refuse container, paper yard waste bag, or bundled less than 5 feet in length, 5 inches in diameter and weighing less than 50 lbs.
