BNSF Chairman to speak at luncheon

BNSF Chairman and CEO Matt Rose will be a guest speaker at a public luncheon event hosted jointly by State Representative Don Moffitt, 74th District, the City of Galesburg and GREDA. Rose will address the importance of Galesburg's role in the U.S. supply chain and the railroad industry in general. The luncheon will be held January 8, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Galesburg's Best Western Prairie Inn, 300 S. Soangetaha Road, Galesburg. Mr. Rose has a long history in the transportation trade having held several positions in the trucking industry before joining BNSF in 1993. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri where he majored in marketing and minored in logistics. He holds seats on several boards including the Association of American Railroads, President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and is Vice President of the Boy Scouts of America National Executive Board.
