What is Emergency Mangement?

The Galesburg/Knox County Emergency Management Agency is a cooperative venture between the City of Galesburg and Knox County to provide emergency management services to the area.
Emergency management services include planning for and response to disasters. Disasters include but are not limited to weather emergencies, hazardous material incidents, accidents involving mass casualties and other large scale incidents that would overwhelm the normal emergency response.

2019 Flooding (June 21, 2019)

Governor Priztker issued a state disaster proclamation for 36 counties along the Illinois and Mississippi River, including Knox County. This ensures all state resources are available to help local officials respond to and recover from the disaster. The declaration is necessary for the state to seek federal assistance.
Do you have damage from the flooding? Your information is needed!! Please review the KCEMA instructions.
