Galesburg officials tape "At Issue" segment on WTVP

 Galesburg's top city officials recently spent time on the WTVP Peoria set taping a segment of "At Issue," with H. Wayne Wilson. The weekly show "provides in-depth, up-to-the-minute exploration of issues that are important to the people of central Illinois." The segment has aired a number of times on WTVP and is available for playback on their website, and click on programming.
Galesburg Mayor Sal Garza, City Manager Todd Thompson, and Economic Development Director Cesar Suarez fielded questions on a wide variety of topics relating to economic development and the general Galesburg economy including the Gates expansion, Kohl's project, library project, overpass/underpass projects, Railroad Hall of Fame, regional tourism efforts, hotel development, Sustainable Business Center, Intellihot, the proposal to decriminalize possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana, and city budget.
