At Your Door Special Collection Service
*Please Note: As of January 1, 2024 the Waste Management office located at 1360 S Henderson St. will no longer be accepting electronic items for recycling. Please see below details on the At Your Door Special Collection Service for an alternative, and convenient way to dispose of unwanted electronic recycling items. This program is for Galesburg Residents only.
The At Your Door Special Collection is a service provided to Galesburg Residential Refuse customers to collect the difficult, sometimes hazardous, and hard-to-recycle items that most households accumulate. Residents do not need to sign up for this program – it is offered as a part of the regular Residential Refuse, Recycling and Yard Waste program.
The program is convenient and easy to use by following these three simple steps:
- Contact Waste Management – Have a list of your unwanted materials ready and contact the At Your Door service at any time, year-round to request a collection. There are three simple ways to schedule a collection: visit their website at WMATYOURDOOR.com and submit a residential request, call the toll free number at 1-800-449-7587 (7 am – 7 pm), or email ATYOURDOOR@WM.com.
- Get a Kit in the Mail – Open the collection kit. Read and follow the instructions.
- On Your Pick Up Date – Place materials out before 7 a.m. at your front door or garage door.
