The Field Operations Division consists of fifty sworn officers. The Field Operations Division has two sections, the Patrol Section and the Special Operations Section. It is the responsibility of the Field Operations Division to provide police service to the community.

The Patrol Section consists of thirty-six sworn officers with one being assigned to District 205 as the school liaison officer. These officers respond to calls for service from the community as well as fulfilling the basic law enforcement function for the citizens.

The Special Operations Section assists the Patrol Section with extended investigations such as drug enforcement, burglaries, robberies or any other major cases or violent crime which require extensive commitments of manpower to solve.
