The City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation Department recently implemented new software for registrations and rentals. Citizens may notice a new layout and capabilities when they visit the City's website to register for recreation programs.

Weather permitting, Ameren will be closing the railroad underpass on Losey Street at Lincoln Street on Tuesday, April 13th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for utility pole replacement.  A detour route will be in place for the closure.
City of Galesburg Transit is offering free rides on Thursday, April 22, 2021, in recognition of Earth Day.

Effective immediately, the Galesburg Sanitary District has closed Clark Street from Dayton to Sanborn to through traffic until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9th for sanitary repairs.

Weather permitting, BNSF will be closing the crossing at N Prairie Street and the crossing on Lincoln Street from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 31st for crossing repairs.

The City of Galesburg will hold clean-up days April 12-16, 2021. During this week, residential refuse customers can place most items, including oversized items and large quantities of refuse, on the curb on their regular refuse pick-up day by 6 a.m. and free pick-up will be provided by Waste Management.

Weather permitting, Brandt Construction will be closing S Seminary Street south of Third Street and Third Street west of Seminary Street beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24th through 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25th for storm sewer construction.  All residents and businesses will have access to Seminary Street from Fourth Street and access to Third Street from Kellogg Street.
