Public Open House for the Farnham Street Bridge Project

The City of Galesburg will hold a Public Open House concerning the proposed rehabilitation of the North Farnham Street Bridge, located one quarter mile north of Main Street, or 1000 feet south of Nielson Elementary School. The Public Open House will be held at The OAKS, located at 176 North Farnham Street, Galesburg, IL 61401 on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend this open house. The meeting room is accessible to persons with a disability. If special accommodations are required, please contact the individual listed below by Friday, May 26, 2017. 
The Open House will be conducted on an informal basis. City of Galesburg staff, as well as staff from Terra Engineering, will be on hand to answer questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Verbatim comments will not be recorded. Drawings, maps, and aerial photography will be available for inspection and viewing throughout the meeting.
It is anticipated to begin construction on the bridge in February 2018 with an estimated completion date of August 1, 2018. The work will be staged to allow one lane of traffic at all times during construction.
