The Sustainable Business Center and the City of Galesburg welcomed Congressman Bobby Schilling, US Representative for Illinois' 17th congressional district, at the Sustainable Business Center last Thursday, April 5, 2012 to learn about the City and the SBC efforts to grow green, high-tech businesses for the region.
"We were very excited that Congressman Schilling is taking an interest in what we are creating at the Sustainable Business Center," commented Eric Dilts, SBC Manager. "We're especially proud of the growth our tenants have experienced since their initial entry to the SBC," said Dilts.
Mayor Garza stated, "This was a great opportunity to showcase how the SBC and the City have collaborated to bring green jobs to Galesburg. Great things happen when you combine innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability under one roof, and we look forward to sharing the results with Congressman Schilling and the public."
The SBC is a business incubator of 88,000 square feet with a strict focus on nurturing green-tech businesses and assisting them in commercializing their products and services. For more information on the SBC contact Eric Dilts at 309/371-0472 or email.
