Stuff the Bus Food Drive Results in over 5,000 donations

City of Galesburg Transit recently held their first Stuff the Bus Food Drive event, during which non-perishable food items were collected throughout the month of November for the Salvation Army Food Pantry.
"We are thankful for all of the community support. The Strength Collective, HyVee, Orange Cup Java Station, Pz’s, Cratty Insurance Agency Inc, The Carriage House, 6140run, and Cooks and Company all joined in our efforts by donating to the food drive. A special thank you goes out to Ryan Crane, a community member who went around the community and collected donations. With his help and the help of many others in the community, this food drive was a success," said Pamelyn Usher-Miller, Transit Manager. "We are very lucky and thankful for this outpouring of community support."
The City of Galesburg Transit Stuff the Bus Food Drive generated over 5,000 non-perishable food items, which were donated to The Salvation Army Food Pantry, as well as cash donations for FISH Food Pantry.
