November 2, 2015 04:23 PM
Galesburg, Illinois (November 2, 2015)  The Galesburg Police made 3 arrests and issued 12 citations during the recent Halloween Crackdown," said Lt. Russell Idle.
Law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in this effort to save lives by getting impaired drivers off our roads and more people buckled up during the Halloween weekend.
Extra emphasis was given to the late-night hours when statistics show the most people drink and drive and the fewest buckle up.
The recent law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.
