Update on Seminary/Kellogg Overpass

Seminary/Kellogg Overpass
Weather has delayed reconstruction of the roadway on Kellogg Street north of Main Street.  The Contractor plans to return to the area, as soon as weather allows, to reconstruct the roadway, sidewalk and driveways.  This work is anticipated to take five to six weeks, depending on weather.

Contractor crews will be in the area working on storm sewer beginning Wednesday, August 13.  They plan to begin work at the northwest corner of the intersection on Wednesday and the southwest corner of the intersection on Thursday.  This work will be completed using daytime lane closures similar to what has been completed to date.  The Contractor then plans to work on Kellogg Street south of Main along the west side of the roadway.  This work may include daytime closures of Kellogg Street to thru traffic.  Access to the bank and City parking lot will be available from Simmons to the south.

Parking along the west side of Kellogg from Main Street to the alley will be prohibited once this work begins until reconstruction is completed.  Vehicles will need to park in the City parking lot during this time period.

Electrical work for lighting and traffic signals will be ongoing in a manner similar to work completed to date at the Main Street intersection.

Pedestrian access will be maintained for the duration of this work.  Signage for this access is to be installed this week.

The City understands that this project may inconvenience you and will work with residents and business owners as much as possible.
